Did the last time you visited a software developer’s linkedIn look completely blank? A LinkedIn profile page with the bare minimum information is becoming the norm. Tech professionals, at least the good ones, have endless job opportunities. As a result, they’re not actively looking for jobs or updating their digital resumes. What does that mean for most recruiters? Qualified and passive technical professionals are not going to reply to the long list of recruiters waiting for them on LinkedIn.

If you’re going to find talent, you’ll have to go to where they live, work and collaborate - GitHub. Maybe you’ve already gone through the drill of searching for talent using various parameters. There’s a ton of tools that will help you find talent based on language and location without you having to write another boolean query.

Here are some of the industry’s top favourite FREE tools.

    Looking for a better tool?

Most of you have probably picked up on a pattern that occurs in all the above tools. High level analysis of candidate projects that only look at arbitrary metrics that can easily be bought (i.e. stars). Where are the metrics that show the candidate has the skills to work a real software developer job?

Well, let me introduce you to HireFast. We give you the same inputs as previous tools but 10x the output. Let’s walk through a simple search. I’m looking for a Toronto based developer who has experience coding in React. I simply use the dropdown and in 0.3 seconds I have 2300+ developers to look at.

But that isn’t the magical part yet. We take the search a step further and show you the candidate’s exact skill sets that map back to your job description. Looking for someone who can create RESTful APIs? Be rest assured that this candidate has been thoroughly checked for accurate use of RESTful APIs in their code. Furthermore, you can quickly access the candidate’s social media profiles using the quick link buttons.

Best part? No credit card required 💰. So you keep your money till you think we’re worth it!
